The villa has been lovingly redone, and is on 3 levels, large and comfortable living space for a sizeable group, having two living rooms, and two kitchens, dining room The rooms have terracotta floors and open beam ceilings, elegantly furnished with family antiques, and firm beds. 5 bedrooms, 3 with en suite bathrooms, 1 bedroom with king size bed, 1 bedroom with 2 queen size beds, 1 bedroom with twin, and 1 bedroom with 2 beds that can sleep 2 adults or 4 children. Centrally heated and air-conditioned throughout and with modern amenities: including two dishwashers, washing machine, satellite TV and stereo. Outdoors: solarium, sunny patio, pretty garden and large private pool make the hours spent out of doors as pleasant as those spent inside. The owners live next door, in a separate villa, who will welcome you warmly and speak english. Well tended sprawling green grass lawn and laurel bushes and historic ancient olive mill. The house sits among well tended gardens and amidst olive groves and 5 acres of vineyards (wine and olive oil produced on the estate) and boasts lovely countryside views. The villa has been lovingly restored, keeping an eye on its historic elements but adding all modern amenities (modern marble bathrooms, internet access, washer/dryer, sat. TV, private swimming pool(6x12m). LOCATION: Town of Massa Pisana, with restaurants and shops and tennis within 1 mile, nearest train station at 2.5 miles, 3 miles to Lucca, 10 miles to Pisa airport, 18 miles to Pisa center and to the beaches of Versilia, 50 miles to Florence. INTERIOR: Lovely and well-decorated throughout, with some antiques and period pieces and also with very comfortable furnishings. Ground floor: Foyer/entrance, large living room with French doors opening onto the lovely terrace equipped for outdoor dining, a formal dining room with dining table with seating for 12, spacious and modern kitchen (oven, freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, barbecue) with old-fashioned fireplace, and casual eat-in dining room with seating for 14), bathroom w/ shower and antechamber. The 1st floor (can also be accessed directly from the garden): second sitting/family room lounge (sat TV) with fireplace, second kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher), 2 bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms with tubs, one of which has jacuzzi tub. 2nd fl.: 3 bedrooms, bathroom w/ tub, and the laundry room with washer and dryer. Lucca has a small town atmosphere, distinctive galleries and restaurants, and splendid gardens and villas (many of are open for public tours). Ancient ramparts surround the town, making for a pleasant walk with wonderful views. Tennis facilities and a small golf course, shops, restaurant and coffee are about 1 km.
