TUSCANY......Some of Tuscany's main towns: Arezzo - a beautiful Etruscan medieval city. Cortona, from where you can look down upon Lake Trasimeno. Lucca, medieval city within medieval walls. Siena, about 30 miles south of Florence, another medieval city and historic center, and one of the more popular, with its stylish town, cobbled streets, home of Palio horse race; Relax in a cafe, enjoy the red brick main square, (which is pedestrians only). Explore the hill towns around Siena; South of Siena - the delightful San Gimignano, a perfect place to experience Tuscany hill town life. Between Florence and Siena; the Chianti area, wine country, and the main towns of Greve in Chianti and Radda in Chianti. The southern Tuscany coast becomes the Maremma, and rises to Monte Argentario.

Tuscany is surrounded by the Emilia-Romagna in the north, Umbria to the east, Lazio to the south.
